this worm here is um it's a sea elegant worm and it lives on average about 15 days of lifespan it has around uh it shares about you know 60% of its genes are found in humans um it has a version of the foxo3 gene so this worm has been genetically engineered to express human amalo beta 42 that toxic peptide that Aggregates and forms flax and brains of people as they age and plays a role in Alzheimer's disease it's been it's been engineered to express it in its muscle tissue lower muscle tissue so as it ages the amalo plaques aggregate in its muscle tissue and it can't move it becomes paralyzed
