§ 1Fair commentary
Whalespan publishes fair commentary on public claims, quoting limited excerpts of public statements and citing publicly available research for the purpose of analysis and criticism. We do not republish full copyrighted works.
§ 2Filing a notice
To submit a takedown notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, email dmca@whalespan.com with the following:
- Identification — the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Location — the URL(s) on Whalespan where the material appears.
- Contact — your name, address, phone, and email.
- Statements — a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act.
- Signature — your physical or electronic signature.
§ 3Counter-notice
If material you posted was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice to the same address with the equivalent information. We process every notice in good faith and as promptly as we can.
