now during physiological states the glucose in the brain is relatively not does not fluctuate that much although it does fluctuate but it doesn't fluctuate as much as that in plasma during disease states such as alzheimer's for example leakage or destruction of the blood-brain barrier associates with destruction in the glut1 transporters and the brain now struggles in capturing glucose from the system which leads to a whole new cascade that we might argue is a diseased cascade
