i've not seen any evidence for that um um but i can you know i concede it's it's tough to prove given you know you know and and i and i get different some of the things i ask are teachers you know are you seeing more autism and most teachers will say yeah i'm seeing a lot more autism but i think a lot of that is due to more awareness um i think a lot of things that we now call call autism we didn't call autism back then i mean we use the r word a lot right they're mentally or they're this or that and now we realize they're on the autism spectrum there's also this component and some teachers have told me you've said well if you want to get special services for your kid you have to label it as autism otherwise they're not eligible for special services and you know how much of that is going on it's hard for me to know either but i think overall and again as i point out as we get better with diagnosing girls and women with autism those numbers are going to go through the roof yet again
