fast forward um to you know my 30s the next time I was paying attention to this sort of thing um that's when I was doing hydrostatic testing so you would go to places that weighed you while dry and then Wade you underwater under the conditions of full exhalation and the ratio of those two weights your you know buoyant weight versus you're not uh and the use of Archimedes principle would basically allow them to deduce how much of your weight was fat that turned out to be a pretty inaccurate way to go about doing things because again if for no other issue highly dependent on your um basically how much air is left in your lungs at the point of exhalation
