I prefer tallow or butter.
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.
I prefer tallow or butter.
Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
if you are eating enough fat enough animal fat butter or tallow because of the stearic acid and odd chain fatty acids two of the fatty acids that i talked about a lot in these animal fats that are so valuable that should be enough to keep your skin healthy
these fats butter and tallow are also higher in beneficial fats like stearic acid and odd chain fatty acid which turn on fat burning and mitochondria etc
why would you not eat animal fat why would you not eat tallow which is higher in stearic acid much higher in stearic acid and has things like odd chain fatty acids 15 and 17 carbon fatty acids pentadecenoic and heptadecanoic acid which we know are helpful for humans
if you substitute Tallow or butter for olive oil you're even better because then you have an animal fat and you have the unique nutrients in the animal fat stearic acid I chain fatty acids
Tallow which is rendered beef fat is my favorite with butter uh for cooking
My preferred oils for cooking, if I'm going to heat them in a pan, are tallow, which is rendered beef fat, or raw butter.
