the takeaway from these podcasts with chris kenobi and tucker goodrich is that seed oils because of their excess linoleic acid content are probably the single greatest driver of chronic disease and illness in humans
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
i believe that the correlation between increased seed oil consumption and increased chronic disease is too much to ignore these are dangerous and interventional studies clearly show as much
i believe that seed oils like these are the major driver of obesity cardiovascular disease diabetes in the united states
and then you kind of take it to the next step of you know more more observational studies people who tend to have more dietary linoleic acid you know what are their outcomes they tend to be worse uh take it a step further and look at randomized controlled trials and there are several randomized controlled trials showing far worse Health outcomes whether it's obesity or heart disease or I'll cause mortality uh with increased consumption of of seed oils
