the lipid hypothesis which basically says the more LDL the worse because LDL is causing atherosclerosis by banging into the endothelium the endothelial cells are the cells that line blood vessels they line veins and arteries and they're very thin and so the lipid hypothesis is concern or people who espouse that hypothesis are concerned about higher levels of LDL in the blood because they believe that it's essentially directly related you know it's a concentration during the disease what's that it's driving the concentration of LDL is driving the atherosclerosis by banging into endothelial cells getting between endothelial cells therefore the more LDL particles you have in your body the more atherosclerosis you will have right
