if your VLDL is high which means you likely have greater Remnants then you have a greater risk of cardiovascular death
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
all you're identifying there is you have increased cholesterol content in VLDL particles and because the ones we fear the most are remnants we're just presuming oh boy there's got to be remnants here
what's atherogenic is the cholesterol inside the vldl particles it's the number of those particles that get into the wall
the vldl cholesterol because the cholesterol that's in the very low density lipoprotein particles the particles that come out of the liver that cholesterol is atherogenic there's a lot of triglyceride in that particle so the people who measure triglycerides say well the triglycerides are high that must be the problem and there's no question that people with high triglycerides are at increased risk of heart disease but the people with the high triglycerides were at increased risk of heart disease have a higher number of LDL particles and vldl particles it's the particle
