My CAC is 0.
The headline is broadly defensible, but the qualifications matter. Effect sizes vary by population, the strongest claims rest on shorter trials, and credible voices push back on how it's typically framed.
My CAC is 0.
Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
and right now i have an ldl that's very high the other asterisk i'll add to my own personal story is that when my father was 43 he had a heart attack so i have a family history in a first degree relative of early coronary atherosclerosis and yet my coronary artery calcium score remains zero
i know that i have had an ldl more than 300 for more than two years and i've had an ldl over 100 for probably 15 plus years because i eat i ate a paleo diet
i've shown in the past that when i had that ldl of 500. i had a coronary artery calcium scan look july 20th 2020 same time my coronary artery calcium score was zero zero
I did have a CT or a a CAC score, so I had a calcium score. Not as good as a CT coronary angio, but I had a coronary artery calcium score in 2020 and it was zero. At that point, I was 42 or 43, I believe. And um interestingly, you know, my father had an angioplasty when he was about that age. So, I certainly have a family history of accelerated coronary artery disease. At that point in my life, my LDL was 500.
I had no calcium so it had a coronary artery calcium score and so when plaque gets Advanced it gets calcified doesn't mean I had no plaque okay because you can you can see soft plaque on something called a CT coronary angiogram and I want to have one of those but I haven't had that but I had no Advanced calcified bad plaque I had a calcium score of zero
My LDL runs between 250 and 300. My CAC score checked twice, three years apart, has remained zero. Zero.
