the cornea doesn't get atherosclerosis because it doesn't have any vasculature this the hypothesis would be because that LDL cannot move across that single cell layer desm epithelium which is probably a good proxy for the endothelium of the inside of a blood vessel those ldo particles that are in the aquous humor behind the cornea cannot move into the cornea where there is proog glycans and they could bound because there is no vascularization there are no blood vessels there's nothing to move the LDL into that space
