The other thing to appreciate about a carnivore diet is that it doesn't just exclude carbohydrates it excludes a lot of lectin containing foods which could be triggering dysbiosis as well i mean there's some fascinating research that i came across when i was writing my book about lectins affecting the actual mucus-producing cells in the gut and if the mucus-producing cells are negatively affected by lectins and there are fenestrations in the mucous layer then certain populations of bacteria can overgrow when they touch the actual gi epithelium leading to inflammation
