well the first thing that happens is obviously a blood clot forms because the endothelium is obviously lining the artery walls sitting within the artery walls there's lots of things but we'll stick to one things called tissue factor tissue factor is the most potent prompt coagulant causes blood clots to form substance there is it sits inside artery walls for obvious reasons in that if if you damage the artery the body thinks it's it's potentially under threat
