Um we've developed technologies to record from the brain that allows us to not only do the mapping but also is really the first window that we have of like understanding like essentially how neurons work, how they um convey information about words for example like in the conversation we're having there's a part of your brain in the temporal lobe uh which is right above your ear on both sides but the one on the left in particular uh you're right-handed right? Yeah. So 99% of right-handers are dominant for language on the left side and there's this one spot in the temporal lobe which is just about 2 centimeters above your left ear that's processing all the words that I'm speaking to you right now.
