the first part of memory is encoding that memory in the first place right the information comes in and your brain you know signals through acetylcholine and other neurotransmitters to actually say this is something that we want to recognize and store and that's the process that seems to be particularly lost in those with pathological cognitive decline that's why things like consterase Inhibitors were um or you know and are still used in an Alzheimer's disease because that helps to bolster some of those encoding uh processes
