I do not believe that carbohydrates lead to insulin resistance in humans per se and that the source of the carbohydrate is critical not to augment genic diets I think a ketogenic low-carb diet can be very helpful for people but I definitely think as illustrated by the paper from Robert Lustig that I talked about in my podcast today and that I've posted about on Twitter that you can replace fructose you can place fructose and sugar sweetened beverages with equal amounts of carbohydrates and equal amounts of calories and same improvements and insulin sensitivity Carbohydrates do not in and of themselves lead to insulin resistance I do not believe that's the case
