so the when it comes to equipment that is actually more for like people who are trying to go you know to the fullest of their athletic ability or people who can't even do the bodyweight version so equipment actually is not even where you start because equipment could kind of rob you of so much of the gains of just mastering your own body weight anyways no it's amazing so okay so we can start with the anterior tib what else would you do in the ankle if we're building from the ground out so it goes from the yeah take us through a progression yeah so if you imagine when we're walking every time we're walking boom the heel hits the ground and then that force comes up through the ankle into the anterior tib people in sports who have knee pain it's all the stopping and boom so that's that's your first line of defense you go directly from the anterior tib which takes no equipment and it's best to start with no equipment and then you work your way into the big toe and into the soleus the soleus is the lower deeper calf muscle it has the strongest pull of any muscle in the human body pound for pound and then the big toe you could look at entire you could look at like a hundred bodybuilders and look at their entire weight program and they might not have an exercise that really loads through the big toe the stiffer that big toe gets now the less force we're able to handle the more we lose strength our feet are meant to be strong
