if there's an elite athlete whether they're basketball or crossfit or whatever and they don't have to prepare for a world championship or something and they have a few weeks to months to prepare they can make this transition but oh am i it sounds to me like it's it's almost like and this is something that can happen with fat adaptation if you're going to cut your carbohydrates temporarily it seems like it parallels that and i think actually most athletes should do fat adaptation and then reincorporate carbohydrates but to me it sounds like if somebody is an athlete and whether whether they're just getting into it or they're super high level and i'm sure listeners of this podcast are going to be across the whole spectrum that if they wanted to improve and they didn't have a huge event whether it was a jujitsu tournament or a fight or a crossfit regionals or something coming up that they could take five to six or eight weeks and really do this program work on something like this and purposefully nasal breathe and avoid mouth breathing and it sounds like the performance may suffer in the beginning but that it'll pay off long term am i correct
