T regulatory cells as you mentioned, they keep the immune system in check, they make sure that you're not having an hyperactive immune response which leads to autoimmune diseases, and I think I've read that type 1 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and multiple sclerosis. All of which have an autoimmune component to them have been linked to the disruptions in the gut microbiome, and I think there's direct evidence as well like looking at animal models..
