my way of thinking about these things is they may or may not impact the length of your life but the quality of your life is at least as important if not more important
The headline is broadly defensible, but the qualifications matter. Effect sizes vary by population, the strongest claims rest on shorter trials, and credible voices push back on how it's typically framed.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
I think what most people want is quality of life over quantity outside of these extreme examples right which are common and tragic where people die and they're young but but I think you know when when you really start to think about pushing those things most people in my experience are more interested in quality of life
Um, you know, BJ, you and I go way back. you're a previous guest on the podcast and and we've we've spoken a little bit about some of the topics we're going to get to today, but when when I reached out to you a few months ago to talk about this idea, um, you immediately suggested bringing Bridget along. So, um, let me just share with folks what I wanted to talk about and I would love for you to share why you felt that this would be a great three-person discussion as opposed to a twoperson. So I reached out to you and I said, "Look, um, BJ, I want to I want to understand more about living and I have a an idea that we could learn a lot from people who are dying." Um, and people who listen to this podcast know that I think that quality of life matters as much and potentially more than length of life.
