I believe for most people it actually matters more many people think you know if you helping me doesn't add one day to the length of my life but improves the quality of my life especially at the end that would be sufficient
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
and if there's anything that I hope people take away from the stuff that you know we've been talking about it's that you must focus on health span at least as much as you focus on lifespan and if there's an enormous failure in medicine 2.0 it's the myopic focus on lifespan at the complete exclusion of Health span

and we started using that slide around 2005 and we were making the point around health span shortly afterwards and you know really this idea of preventing disease and keeping people healthy interacting earlier
If you did not extend lifespan by a day, >> yeah, >> but you just improved health span, that's a home run.
