if you look at the individuals in this study they were glucose tolerant they said but the average serum insulin was 8.6 and 15.7 in the impaired glucose tolerance group so they appeared glucose tolerance group definitely has a higher but as we talked about on this podcast the average fasting insulin for Americans is 8.6 we know the most 90 of Americans have at least one metric suggesting metabolic dysfunction so I don't think 8.6 is where you want your insulin uh when you're fasting
