because insulin is valuable and if you are ketogenic you are not getting any insulin either when you're fasting or after you eat postprandially if you eat things like fruit and honey i've done previous videos about why i don't think those are bad for humans if you eat carbohydrates then you're getting a postprandial insulin spike beneficial for a lot of reasons beneficial because it increases glutathione beneficial because it has actions at the level of the kidney that affects electrolyte maintenance and resorption so you don't have to drink tons and tons of electrolytes which don't really work when you're ketogenic anyway because your body's not holding on to those electrolytes that insulin spike is going to affect sex hormone binding globulin which is going to drive it down where it should be and increase levels of free hormones androgens like testosterone and insulin is beneficial for both exercise recovery as i will show you immune function and testosterone and cortisol after balance of intense exercise
