the tan that seemed to be eternally on JFK is the result of the Addison's disease because the hormone you alluded to earlier that is released by the pituitary acth in someone who's not making cortisol is gonna be very very high an ACTH stimulates the pigment producing cells in the skin and that's what would give someone with Addison's disease darker skin the fascinating thing with Kennedy is if it were this situation now presumably his doctors would be on the air somewhere 24/7 this there's remarkably little known about when is onset was when the worst of it was how severe it was so it's not quite clear but what little is known is it had a hell of an impact on this functioning
