for many tests uh the average doctor has no clue that a that a fasting insulin of 20 21 and 22. they're like oh that's that's normal that's good and that may be normal but that's not optimal
What is his insulin fasting insulin? You want it to be less than five microou per ml. Do you use that threshold, too? Is that reasonable? Yeah, I I maybe I'm a little bit more generous. I'm happy under eight. Okay.
when you look at his fasting insulin it's 15. that's actually quite high
If it's up to about the mid- teens or high teens, that's maybe an okay sign because insulin can be dynamic. But then if it's in the high teens to the 20s, it's a problem. That's a warning that you're metabolically off.
