it's interesting that hypertension would return and yet mortality would still improve which suggests that perhaps the benefits of improved insulin sensitivity which do persevere play a greater role in mortality than body weight which does not surprise me but also hypertension which is somewhat surprising given how causally related hypertension is atherosclerosis
