I think that when we transition into ketosis we're gonna need more sodium because we're acutely wasting insulin sensitivity hasn't quite changed enough to conserve the sodium with lower levels of insulin
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
if you're keto uh and you're having issues with cramping that is an electrolyte issue because you are not including carbohydrates in your diet it's easily fixable
when you're in ketosis your body basically starts wasting sodium your body responds by trying to save sodium and usually ends up shunting magnesium and potassium out of the kidney so you do tend to cramp more and if you're not supplementing that sodium and magnesium you can also tend to get a little light-headed
