now I have also shown in some of the work of others in my presentations that cell repair now when you talk about cells cells are getting injured all the time an injury to the cell involves injury to the membrane the membrane is a phospholipid bilayer with cholesterol that is included in that and the cholesterol has to come from someplace and our cells cannot make the amount of cholesterol that is needed for cell repair on their own and there are beautiful illustrations of paper in which the LDL is taken up by the cell the cholesterol is reused to repair the cell membrane
