so one of the first functions of LDL is host defense it is protecting your body from bacteria and viruses so like for example I this is a beautiful term which is called quorum sensing that I have talked about in my papers so when a bacteria comes in and infects a certain organ in our body let's say take the lung before it gains a foothold it sends out small molecules into the environment and says hey can I is this a suitable environment that I can multiply and proliferate and that protein molecule that is going out is neutralized by the LDL particle so the LDL particle neutralizes the protein prevents an infection there are plenty of information that LDL is is quite involved in host defense for bacteria and viruses so that's one of the first functions of the LDL
