if I'm doing a ketogenic carnivore diet and I'm signaling with leucine it's more precise it's on last minute on for a shorter amount of time and there's not as much carryover
The headline is broadly defensible, but the qualifications matter. Effect sizes vary by population, the strongest claims rest on shorter trials, and credible voices push back on how it's typically framed.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.

basically what the study shows is that both leucine and insulin trigger mtor but you know what's a bigger trigger of mtor insulin so if you're not eating protein if you're following like david's recommendations and you're avoiding a lot of leucine you're going to be eating more carbohydrates you have to eat something right you can't just be eating all fat you know you're going to get a vegetarian diet you're going to get more carbohydrates you're going to trigger insulin i'm not afraid of insulin but i'm telling you according to the study and many studies like it insulin triggers mtor just as much if not more than leucine
if we're eating leucine so if we're eating you know protein in the absence of a bunch of insulin like we would get in a ketogenic state you know we're going to get a small bump in insulin postprandially uh if we're just eating a carnivore diet or in a ketogenic state but we're not going to get nearly as much insulin released postprandially we're going to get mostly a signal that's going to be leucine and we're going to get mtor triggered but it's going to be much less and it's going to be for a short amount of time
