HSPs are robustly increased after sauna & also increase lifespan in worms/flies/humans.
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
if you take a fly and you expose it to one single exposure of heat for 70 minutes it extends your lifespan by 15% also that was shown to be dependent on heat Shu proteins
the mechanisms have all been worked out in terms of what's responsible for the lifespan extension and it happens to be dependent on a family of proteins that are actually called chaperone proteins called heat shock proteins and heat shock proteins are evolutionarily conserved they're found in worms and flies and mice and monkeys and in humans
in worms and in flies, if you expose them to a really short b burst of heat, it'll extend their life expectancy by like 20%. So, it seems to be an evolutionary conserved mechanism as well.
