for younger um healthy women 65 70 and younger who have dcis it's pretty standard to give a course of radiation therapy to the breast to lower the risk of recurrence of dcis within the breast itself
with treatment with radiation therapy um you bring way down the risk of recurrence of dcis or of new breast cancer for both those kinds of lesions um such that it's into the usually into the low single digits nowadays
