i think because we never probably existed in an environment where food abundance was so great right that we could reach the level of over nutrition it gave us even more flexibility with what we could eat right and and kind of where i was going with this and i mean it's interesting to think about is does is that um maybe part of the reason why humans seem to be fairly robust towards eating really really crappy diets i mean certainly obviously we have an obesity epidemic and all of that stuff um happening but people seem to be able to tolerate a wide variety of different diets some of which are pretty darn bad for them from for many many years before you start to really see the the significant consequences
