Harm to sperm, male reproductive system, again references are here. I spoke about some of them. Pregnancy-induced hypertension, which is a precursor or part of the preeclampsia syndrome. Um there's evidence from the C8 health study of over 70,000 residents near a DuPont Teflon plant in West Virginia. This is an environmental catastrophe, suggests a probable link between PFAO, PFOA, and PFOS, and pregnancy-induced hypertension. Other studies have found no association. So, the preeclampsia may be higher doses, but there was a uh a pretty much environmental disaster where the Teflon plant in West Virginia leaked a lot of this into the environment. This may have been something that was made into one of these movies. I don't know if this was uh one of the movies. There's been a lot of movies about this type of thing, but this is a common problem that these factories leak chemicals into the environment, and people in the surrounding towns are harmed. Reduced time breastfeeding, impacts on mammary gland development. Some studies have reported that PFO PFOA and PFOS exposure is associated with a shorter duration of breastfeeding. Animal studies find PFOA causes reduced mammary gland development in females and offspring, etc. Increased time to pregnancy. This would be infertility. Um PFOA and PFOS associated with longer time to pregnancy, subfecundity. So, lots of references here, though some uh with fertility have found no association. But some have.
