So I contracted Lyme on Easter in Long Island. . . I ignored progressively worsening symptoms for eight weeks where my joints started getting very sore, swollen. I had trouble getting out of bed in the morning. I started getting slow cognitively and had trouble recalling friends' names and just really common words and eventually got to a point where my assistant was like, "I've seen you sick. I've seen you tired. I've seen you burning the candle at both ends. This is none of those things. You need to see a doctor."
