“So this is where MR became potentially valuable provided you believe that the genes that regulate cholesterol synthesis, absorption, and LDL receptor expression don't also regulate a cancer process. And if you believe that then the Mandelian randomization was quite clear that there was no relationship neither good nor bad between LDL cholesterol and cancer.”
