I also do not think these are mutually exclusive but focus on healthspan first!
The headline is broadly defensible, but the qualifications matter. Effect sizes vary by population, the strongest claims rest on shorter trials, and credible voices push back on how it's typically framed.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
longevity is a balance of lifespan (living longer) and healthspan (living better).
longevity is really two things It's lifespan which means Living Longer and It's healthpan which means Living Better
when i use the word longevity i'm referring to two things lifespan how long you live and health span how well you live
longevity has two parts health span lifespan
longevity is well it's a function uh I think so again I tend to think of things mathematically made up of two vectors and one of these vectors is lifespan and one of these vectors is Health span and both of these vectors are necessary to you know demonstrate the function of longevity
longevity so um in as much as we want to increase longevity we presumably want to have something to do with increasing lifespan the second Vector that makes up this uh longevity function is the Health span Vector
lifespan is the part that I think most people think of it's the how long you live part but then there's Health span which is the how well you live part
and you have to as you start to get to older and older you really it's Health span not lifespan that matters the most
