I mean in general you you really can't predict unless someone already has evidence of bad scarring what's gonna happen it's definitely a genetic thing Asians and dark-skinned patients have a high risk of keloid ting their skin is thicker and it's more sebaceous and it tends to scar worse so we're always concerned more about that with our darker skin patients but even in fair-skinned patients will sometimes see bad scarring patients who have infections or any delay in the healing are at higher risk for developing keloids
