the single most distinguishing characteristic of the of the human species of course is our unusually large brains that you know that that grew and you know encephalized in in an unprecedented fashion throughout the course of our evolutionary history it just grew so rapidly and when you look at the types of fatty acids that typify and not typify but that represent our unique human cognition the two that stand out are these 20 and 22 carbon fats arachidonic acid because hexanoic acid both of which are found exclusively within the fat of animals and um and if that is a very very unique characteristic the the primary uh you know fatty acid uh you know uh responsible for our unique human cognition of course dha which is this extraordinary substance extraordinary molecule
