the misfolding of proteins could lead to protein aggregates leading to impaired cell function and neurodegeneration and proteins can misfold when there are high amounts of these non-protein amino acids whether this is l-dopa from something like macuno purines whether this is bmaa whether this is boaa whether this is aze or whether this is cannavine from alfalfa sprouts or whether these are non-protein amino acids from legumes or plant compound plant foods leaf stems roots and seeds that we don't even know about yet
