and how much of that do you think is the main reason for the hesitation here versus the slippery slope argument which says yes of course those applications are absolutely worth pursuing but if we do that how far far are we from doing apoe4 which may be a little bit gray and then what about I you know identifying genes that are frankly not remotely related to lifespan or medical necessity but instead relate to kind of the stuff that people talk about in science fiction hey this is a gene that might make my kid a little bit taller this is a gene that relates to intelligence or some other physical characteristic that is completely relevant to their health
