we are lulled into a false sense of confidence with randomized control trials and yet virtually all of them have some measure of what's called performance bias which you know Preta med which is generally regarded as the best nutritional study despite the you know change in the statistics around the randomization suffered a very large performance bias meaning the group that was treated was given much more attention than the group that was the placebo and therefore they were probably or at least possibly more likely to change behaviors in other ways that could have impacted the outcome
