um i think a lot of this boils down to people think of metabolism as like on and off switches and it's like that's think about like dimmer switches like nothing people think like when you're losing fat that means that fat burning is ramped up and you know fat storage is all the way down at zero no you are always burning and storing fat simultaneously um same thing you are always synthesizing protein and degrading it at the same time now it's the relative rates of each that are going to determine if you deposit versus uh lose fat or protein
