and so they the way that the bison used to move and the way that animals move is that they won't eat the grass all the way down to the ground they'll they'll eat it and then they'll move on they won't kill the grass right so animals in the our environment understand that we're part of a system and they don't go around destroying fields you know an animal won't just like generally speaking a ruminant animal won't just eat the grass until it's all dead they'll move around like the bison did and so that's what places like rome ranch and white oak pastures are trying to do and by doing that they're improving the quality of the soil and for me this is a mirroring of the way that we belong in the environment that's how they belong in the environment that's how the environment gets to be better
