meat is a decent source of magnesium i think it's more about how much magnesium you retain than the absolute amount of magnesium you take in over 100 milligrams per pound of meat and i think the key with magnesium is not that that we are not getting enough of it some people certainly may not be getting enough of it if they're making so much of their diet as carbohydrates but if you're eating meat and organs i think you're getting enough magnesium and you will retain it if you are insulin sensitive and metabolically healthy
