meat is actually an anti scorbutic not only does it have vitamin C in it but it actually prevents or cures it actually cures scurvy and that's been known for centuries so because it doesn't have a lot of vitamin C in it that's a bit of a puzzle right and and even we're talking about explorers who were not low-carb dieters and give them some meat and they're scurvy goes away so I started looking into how that could be possible and one of the things that I think might be actually really important is carnitine because the the reason we need vitamin C mostly is to make collagen and to make carnitine
