in the case of epidemiology with regard to me this happens repeatedly in the case of meat and cancer there are epidemiology studies that will show that more meat can is associated right it's correlation not causation with higher rates of cancer in the West but if you go to Asia more meat consumption is associated with lower rates of cancer and lower rates of heart disease how is that true does meat is meat good for Asians and bad for Americans that doesn't make any sense that's a pretty big genetic variation I don't think that's what's going on it's that the narratives in the two places are so different
