And yes, it's epidemiology but meat eating is consistently NOT associated with healthy behaviors across cultures. Thus, the probability of confounding (healthy user bias) is pretty low here.
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.

healthy user bias is the idea that when people are eating fruits and vegetables because humans have been told to eat because westernized humans have been told to be future and vegetables for the last 70 years those are people who are also doing other healthy behaviors and it is very unlikely to be the fruits and vegetables that are benefiting them rather than the healthy behaviors the exercise the sunlight the increased sleep the better financial status the visiting the doctor more often these healthier behaviors spending time in community these are what we're seeing in these epidemiology studies not an effect from the fruits and vegetables or the absence of the eating the meat
and the latter unhealthy user bias is when the James Dean type of rebels say you know what I'm gonna eat meat because I like it and they view lots of other unhealthy behaviors as well so that can make it look like people who are eating meat are unhealthy or have worse outcomes because of their unhealthy behaviors
anything that suggests that meat is bad is epidemiology and you you know as well as i do that can be incredibly misleading with things like healthy use or bias
these california mormons live just as long as loma lindens and they do not shun meat in any way shape or form so again this throws further questioning further skepticism to the idea of the blue zones when one of the key blue zones in loma linda doesn't even really look that to be that special
