these traumatic events occur very early in life but they don't sort of the maladaptive side because because I sort of describe what your what you've explained is there were positive and negative adaptations to that experience the positive adaptations were the things that actually gave you discipline and gave you drive and yes probably enabled you to reach a lot of your potential but unfortunately it came with these negative adaptations that we'll just call maladaptations and that's what you know increased your temper and probably created emotional distance between you and others in a disa inability to connect with people
