Paul Saladino· MD
something that approximates a more natural environmental experience or some way to like kind of get back to uh you know this something that mirrors ancestral norms a little bit more perhaps right like we said about the horizon
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
you're like your parasympathetic versus sympathetic nervous system that we just haven't quantified yet yeah i would guarantee it like it you have to be in a safe environment to be able to like look around and like look to a horizon yeah yeah that's that's probably a very parasympathetic thing and i think in some ways it's quite soothing to be able to see a horizon to move the eyes in that way
as i'm myopically focusing in on something say a screen in front of me or a wall in front of me that cues me up to go more into that executive function kind of like get up and atom type place in a little bit more like sympathetic type place as i take in the whole room or take in you know the panorama taking the horizon it sends the cue into my physiology it's like okay obviously paul's not under attack right now or he wouldn't be taking in the whole panorama
focusing far away activates your calming parasympathetic nervous system the rest and digest nervous system
but even better would be get outside view a horizon let your eyes sort of not sort of let them relax so that you're not looking at one particular thing for too long and you'll notice undoubtedly a pretty major State shift to a state of more calm
